With a portfolio spanning large-scale commercial developments, complex refurbishments, education, healthcare, leisure, hospitality and residential projects, you'll be involved in a broad mix of building services design work, including sustainable and energy-efficient solutions.

You'll have the opportunity to lead projects, work directly with clients and multidisciplinary design teams, and remain hands-on with electrical design from initial concept through to completion.

While the main focus is at Senior Engineer level, there is also openness to experienced Principal or Associate-level engineers, depending on experience.

The Role

You will be responsible for the electrical design and delivery of multiple building services projects, working across different RIBA stages from initial concept through to construction and completion.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Taking ownership of electrical design and delivery across multiple projects

• Developing electrical design strategies, concept and scheme designs, specifications and detailed technical designs

• Managing project workloads, design programmes and deadlines

• Working directly with clients, architects and other engineering disciplines

• Coordinating electrical designs with the wider project team

• Reviewing technical work and supporting the development of junior engineers

• Attending design meetings and site visits, with involvement throughout construction and post-contract stages

About You

We are keen to speak with experienced Electrical Engineers who are confident managing their own work, communicating with clients and contributing to multidisciplinary design teams.

Ideally, you will have:

• A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline

• UK experience in electrical building services design

• Experience delivering electrical designs across different project stages

• Confidence managing your workload and taking responsibility for project delivery

• Good communication skills and experience working directly with clients and wider design teams

• Experience using relevant electrical design software, such as Revit, Amtech/Trimble and Dialux

• The ability to guide and support junior engineers

• Full right to work in the UK

We're working with an established M&E contractor looking to bring an experienced Electrical Project Manager into its team, delivering projects across Edinburgh, Glasgow and the Central Belt.

With a strong pipeline of work across healthcare, education, commercial, retail and other building services sectors, you'll be managing projects ranging from around £400k to several million pounds.

This is an opportunity to take responsibility for your own projects from initial planning through to commissioning and handover, with the autonomy to manage day-to-day delivery, make decisions and build relationships with clients and site teams.

The business is looking for someone who can confidently manage multiple live projects, balancing programme, commercial performance and quality while keeping things moving on site.

The Role

You'll take responsibility for the successful delivery of electrical building services projects, managing the technical, commercial and operational aspects from start to finish.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing multiple electrical projects from planning through to completion and handover

• Planning and coordinating labour, materials, plant and subcontractors

• Managing project programmes, deadlines and delivery priorities

• Monitoring budgets, project costs, variations and commercial performance

• Reviewing drawings, specifications and technical documentation

• Coordinating site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and other project parties

• Building and maintaining relationships with clients, consultants and contractors

About You

We're keen to speak with Electrical Project Managers who have a strong electrical background and experience delivering building services projects within an electrical or M&E contracting environment.

You'll be comfortable taking responsibility for your own projects, managing site teams and keeping a close eye on programme, costs and quality.

Ideally, you'll bring:

• Experience managing electrical projects within commercial, healthcare, education or similar building services environments

• The ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities

• Strong technical knowledge of electrical installations and project delivery

• Good commercial awareness, including budgets, costs and variations

• Experience coordinating site teams, subcontractors and suppliers

• Confidence communicating directly with clients and other project stakeholders

• A practical, proactive approach to resolving problems and keeping projects on track

A full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK are essential.
